An EV charger fitted in Bayview, at a price agreed up front. Electrical3 is based in Cromer, minutes from Bayview, and fits home chargers across the Northern Beaches every week. Supplied and installed, including GST, with the certificate of compliance.
Every figure is the fixed price we install for, including GST — not a range you find out the truth about later.
| Install type | Price inc GST | What moves it |
|---|---|---|
| Single phase 7.4kW, charger supplied and installed | $1,653 | Based on a 10 metre run from the switchboard. Longer runs are priced by the metre. |
| Charger you already own, installed | from $893 | We confirm the unit suits your supply before we quote it. |
| Three phase, up to 22kW | $2,032 | Needs three phase already at the property, and a car that can accept it. |
| Solar-diverting charger | $2,163 | Only chargers that genuinely divert solar. We will not sell you one that cannot. |
| Surge protection added on the day | $397 single phase $638 three phase | Cheapest while the board is already open, rather than a separate call-out. |
| Switchboard upgrade, if the board has no room | Quoted before we start | Older boards with ceramic fuses and no safety switches. Send a photo and we price it up front. |
Steep driveways and detached garages usually mean a longer sub-main run for an EV charger, which is worth pricing properly rather than guessing.
Larger homes on the Pittwater side, many with pools, boatsheds, extensive garden lighting and the odd studio or granny flat. Those additions are usually what a house of this size outgrows first — a board that ran a family home in the 1980s now running a pool, a spa, a workshop and air conditioning.
Housing here is older beach houses and weekenders, many timber-framed and set on steep or stepped blocks, and that is what decides the job: where the board sits, how far the car parks from it, and what the supply already carries.

Your charger gets its own way back to the switchboard, on its own RCBO, sized to the supply you actually have. Nothing else shares that circuit.
The route from the board to where the car parks, in conduit, clipped and tidy. You pay for the metres your house needs — a flat allowance is wrong for everybody.
Mounted where you want it, set to your supply, commissioned and tested properly. You get the certificate of compliance and a clean site.
Solar diversion only if the unit really does it, three phase only if the car can take it, and a board with the capacity for either. We answer those before recommending anything.
We install Tesla Wall Connector, Zappi, Wallbox, Ohme, Evnex and other leading brands, and we will fit a charger you have bought yourself once we have confirmed it suits your supply. See the full EV charger page →

Sometimes. A charger needs its own circuit with its own RCBO, and older boards with ceramic fuses and no safety switches often have no room for one. We check the board before quoting, and if it needs work you are told the price before anything starts.
Not for most people. Single phase at 7.4kW puts back 35 to 50km an hour, so a normal day of driving is replaced overnight. Three phase is worth it only when the property already has it and the car can use it.
Most single phase installs are a single visit, two to four hours, tested and certified before we leave. A long run, board work or a strata building adds time and we tell you that at quoting stage, not on the day.
