Up on the plateau the housing is mostly 1960s and 70s brick and timber on generous blocks, well back from the salt. The common jobs here are the ones that come with a house of that age still in original condition: an undersized board, no safety switch on lighting, and outdoor circuits added later for a pool or a shed.
Housing here is older beach houses and weekenders, many timber-framed and set on steep or stepped blocks, and that is what decides the job: where the board sits, how far the car parks from it, and what the supply already carries.

It depends what is in the board now. Ceramic fuses, no safety switches or no spare ways usually mean an upgrade first. We look at that before pricing the charger, so there is no mid-job surprise.
Not for most people. Single phase at 7.4kW puts back 35 to 50km an hour, so a normal day of driving is replaced overnight. Three phase is worth it only when the property already has it and the car can use it.
Usually one visit of two to four hours for a standard single phase job, including commissioning and the compliance certificate. We flag anything that will take longer when we quote it.
